... or "Do all of my journals have this exact same title?"
Aaaaaand the so-called "con-season" finished a few weeks ago with Montreal Comiccon. I've gone a long way since... uuuh... before Anime North? The day I'm going to get consistent with journals on dA has not yet arrived, let me tell you...

All of the cons I went to in those couple of months (Anime North, Otakuthon and Montreal comiccon) were honestly ALL A LOT OF FUN. Last year, as everyone's plans (my friends', and mine also) went wrong, we hoped for a better cosplay year in 2012. That was actually our New Year's wish, together! ^_^ I think it's been made clear that our wish came true!
The next season will start, as usual, with G-Anime as the first con of the year, in my home town! Preemptively, I sketched out a schedule already. It might see changes, as we're still a few months away from the con, but technically, should stay pretty much the same. Well, ok, two out of three costumes are decided. See for yourself!
FRIDAY: Kamila (Ghost Trick)
SUNDAY: June / Akane Kurashiki (9 hours, 9 persons, 9 doors)
That's right, I'm still not set on my Saturday costume. And why is that, will you ask?! Well... it's been WAY TOO LONG since I've last entered a masquerade. Two years. And I miss the scene like no one. I also stopped taking dance classes, for the first time in what, 14 years? because I had to move from Gatineau to Montreal during the summer. SO. I need a fix of scenetime. G-Anime will be perfectly good for that. My costume will probably stay secret until then... but I will at least tell people when I'm going to make my mind on WHAT to do exactly.
Meanwhile... I might make more costumes. 8D
Vampire!Death the Kid (Soul Eater) will join the Halloween!Soul Eater crew... (We're going to have a small photoshoot for this!)
And also... I want to make something for the Distant Worlds Final Fantasy orchestral show in December!!! GAAAAHHH! *_____*
OH AND. THAT SECRET COSTUME. TEH PHOTOSHOOT IN EARLY SEPTEMBER. BEFORE MY HAIR DISAPPEARED! PICTURES SOOOOOON~

Hopefully, I will be able to update all platforms in following days/weeks, because I am WAY late. I have some costumes from more than one year that do not have galleries for them yet

WHAT IS EDGE COSPLAY, YOU ASK?
(Seriously, I can hear you screaming with excitement like this is some news that will change your purpose in life, you know.)
This was part of my previous journal too, but I feel like it may have been overlooked. And since then, we've also expanded our means of reaching out to other cosplay enthusiasts (like you!), and tried to create on different platforms and mediums!!!

So this group will help us share our common projects and group cosplays with the world!!! We're adding pictures from time to time, and are currently working on many cosplay groups to come in the near future! Basically, while we all individually select a few of our pictures to make the cut on our personnal page, we thought putting more stuff on the group page would, maybe, interest a few people. Also, this way, you can see what everyone made without necessarily browsing everyone's page (which can be a good or a bad thing, depending on how you use the platform and what interests you).
Also, we are planning to make proper photoshoots of all group-related projects, and more!
We'd like to produce some CMVs, we also make videos of our special events, and ~Mytis also makes a cute comic strip about stuff that happens in Edge's members' lives! Mostly when we're together~

I am currently studying at the University of Montreal, a certificate in advertising, as promised (well, not really, buuuut... eeehhhh). So yeah, my bet was positive, I was accepted into the program, and am currently trying to survive under the amount of stuff there is to do. This sounds... so sad though. IT'S AN AMAZING PROGRAM and I'm SO GLAD I'm following it. The teachers are amazing, very knowledgeable, they're professionals from the wooooooorld of advertising, and it shows. I'M THRILLED, GUYS. THRILLED.
The "downside" of having so much to do for school is that I have less time to actively try to find a job. :I But I shall find one, and in my field of studies. YES. That is a bet, life!!!!!
Other than that... I raised a little more than 1300$ for Leucan, a Quebec charity that supports families who have children with cancer, and shaved my head entirely, two weeks ago. It was a very special moment...! I really need to leave, -right now-, but I'll update this journal with pictures when I have a few minutes. You need to see that ;D Remember Tomoyo? Well that was my hair, all of it.
That's it for now!!!
